Nominations for Most Outstanding Crossing Guard Due by 1/19
Please help us honor our amazing crossing guard, Ms. Cora Reed, by nominating her for Crossing Guard Appreciation Day here. Ms. Cora Reed has been a part of our community for decades, and works hard day in and day out to keep our students safe!
A picture of Ms. Cora is included below, which you can use to submit your nomination, or feel free to use your own picture of Ms. Cora, of course! Thank you for taking the time to helping us recognize Ms. Cora!
Uniform Locker: Request for Hangers
If you have unused hangers at home, the Uniform Locker is in need. Plastic is the preference, but would also take sturdier metal ones. If you have donations, please drop off in the main office and let them know to bring to the Uniform Locker.
Thank you for your support!
Spirit Wear: Updates
Prior Orders Update: All Spirit Wear from the first round (clothes), second round (socks), and third round (clothes) of orders have arrived; if you haven't received your order yet, please email president@lctapta.org.

Girls Scouts Daisy Troop Meeting 1/8, 1/15
You're invited to join our new LCTA Girls Scouts Daisy Troop! These initial sample meetings will all be held in the LCTA Cafeteria on Monday 1/8 and 1/15 at 6:30 pm, where we will start the Girl Scout experience for your Kindergarteners and 1st graders. At the end of the sessions, we will have the option to continue as a full troop or explore other local troop opportunities.
Please use this link to register your daughter(s) BEFORE coming to a meeting: https://bit.ly/Lyles-Crouch-Daisies-Fall23. The fee is $25 for your daughter to participate in the start-up, which covers staff time and supplies, and of course there is financial assistance if you need it. Remember, a parent or guardian must accompany your child to the first meeting and stay for the duration, but they do not have to register.
Contact Membership Specialist Jackie Horn at jhorn@gscnc.org with any questions.
