Lion Fest: Donate, Spirit Week, Online Auction!
Lion Fest, our one and only school fundraiser is revamped this year. It will include a spirit week, a celebration pep rally, a donation challenge and an online auction!
Donation Challenge
We are hoping to have 100% participating this year in our donation drive. The goal is to raise $35,000! Please contribute what you can and ask friends, family and neighbors to contribute too. All classes that reach 100% participation in donations will get to participate in a kickball tournament - donations of all amounts make a difference and are greatly appreciated as they make a lasting impact on our school community!!

Reflections Art Contest: Submit by Sunday 10/29
It's time to send in your Reflections submissions! All students from K-5 are eligible and can enter their work in six categories reflecting this year's theme: "I am hopeful because..."! Explore the arts and express yourself!
Categories for submission are dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, visual arts, and special artist division. First place winners in each category and each division will receive a $25 Target gift card and first place submissions will be moved on to represent LCTA at the local level. All students who enter will receive a trophy, medal or ribbon and will be included in the November 16 Reflections Assembly.

Candy Collection + Costumes
Candy Collection: On November 1st, we're coming together to collect candy for a special cause: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. We kindly ask that you bring in your candy donations, as our students will be collaborating to make baggies filled with these sweet treats to be donated. Your contribution will bring smiles to those who have sacrificed so much for our country. Thank you for your support!
Costumes: Our costume collection was a great success, thanks to your generosity! If your student is in need of a costume for the upcoming Halloween on 10/31, please don't hesitate to reach out to our wonderful Social Worker, Ms. Kelly Robinson, at kelly.robinson@acps.k12.va.us. Your support makes a world of difference!
Parent Coffee 10/27
Please join us this Friday 10/27 at LCTA for our first Parent Coffee of the year! The topic for this first get together will be "Supporting Students to Make Healthy Choices," and will be featuring guest speaker Ms. Emma Beall, Coordinator for the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Alexandria for the City of Alexandria.
Coffee will be served beginning at 8:15 am, and the speaker will begin at 8:30 am.
We look forward to seeing you! Please check in at the main office upon arrival, before heading to the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR)/gym.
Veteran's Day Program 11/10
We welcome all families of our 4th grade choir and veterans and active military to attend our Veteran’s Day program at 9 am on Friday 11/10. Students in grades 3-5 and any siblings of military families are also invited to join. We will have a donut and coffee social to honor our nation’s military beginning at 8:30 am.
