Book Fair Next Week: 9/18-9/22 Scholastic Book Fair Week is next week, from Monday 9/18 - Friday 9/22! We can't wait for the return of Book Fair Week! New this year, all sales at the Fair are tax free! 50% of proceeds from the Fair comes back to the school! Last year we were able to purchase nearly 400 books for our school library! The Fair will be open to students only during the school day, and they will be able to make purchases with cash and e-wallets. Fair opening times to families: Monday: 2:45pm-3:15pm open to families Tuesday: 5pm-7:30pm Book Fair Family Night with Kona Ice Food Truck Wednesday: 2:45pm-3:15pm open to families Thursday: 2:45pm-3:15pm open to families If you're able to volunteer to help us with running the Book Fair next week, your help is much appreciated! You can sign up here. Cash, Credit Cards and e-wallets* accepted! *Please note that once money is added to e-wallet, it can only be used for purchases (including online purchases) and no refunds are issued by Scholastic. Teachers can also create e-wallets and students can support their teachers by donating any amount to their e-wallet that teachers can then use to purchase books! Back to School Night Tomorrow on 9/14 Please join us for Back to School Night tomorrow to meet your child's teacher and learn more about core knowledge, your child's classroom, and our school! There will be TWO identical sessions held at 4 pm and 4:45 pm. This night is for parents/caregivers only. Thursday, September 14 4:00 - 4:30 pm Session 1 4:45 - 5:15 pm Session 2 Parents/Caregivers only


Lion Fest: We need your help! This year, we are revamping Lion Fest which will take place October 31 - November 2. More details on school activities to come but they will revolve around “school spirit.” We will also hold an online auction open from October 27th to November 2nd in addition to asking families for donations. Right now, we need your help to make it a success! Please donate items to auction through our donation portal. What kind of auction items are we looking for? Any item large or small can be included. Maybe you could offer a stay in a vacation property, a pool party for kids or a day at the golf course? Perhaps you have an autographed football, tickets to an upcoming sporting event, or know a business or friend that would want to donate an item? The sky’s the limit for Lion Fest. But it can’t happen without your help! All donations are tax deductible and donors will be acknowledged on our online auction page. Donations to Lion Fest are also open! You can support our school (and get your child's class to the top of the standing board) by donating here. Blessings in a Backpack

Uniform Locker: Uniform Donations Requested Our school is a uniform school. As such, to help support our families, the PTA runs a Uniform Locker, which is stocked with gently used uniform items for your family to shop free of charge. We are putting out an open call and request for more uniform donations to help us restock and make more items available to our community! Uniform donations can be dropped off to the front office at any time. Thank you for considering and helping us continue to offer this wonderful service to our community!

Reflections Art Contest: Enter Today! It's time to send in your Reflections submissions! All students from K-5 are eligible and can enter their work in six categories reflecting this year's theme: "I am hopeful because..."! Explore the arts and express yourself! Categories for submission are dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, visual arts, and special artist division. September Cafeteria Menu While the kitchen/cafeteria renovation project is ongoing, our amazing Cafeteria Manager, Ms. Laura Purdy, has created a menu for our students that is modified from the regular ACPS menu due to our different space availability during the renovation projection. This modified menu follows below for this month.
